As for why electric....Not really sure, but for the price point - I figure it takes a lot of the guess work out of pressure cooking, and it makes it far less intimidating than dealing with stovetop temperature too.  I&#039;m lazy  :)</description>

I have not yet tried the Cuisinart but love my stove top cookers, mostly Fagor, two Magafesas and a brand new Fissler that I still need to check out.
